"A bit annoying to deal with"
The reconcile feature keeps going off, and yeah, it gets annoying after a while. It’s not the biggest deal, but when it happens over and over, it definitely starts to get on my nerves

"Felt Misled and It Didn't Help My Spending"
I signed up for ynab because I wanted to get my spending under control, and the way it was presented made it sound like it would be simple and motivating. Instead, I ended up feeling kind of misled because it was way more hands-on and stressful than I expected.
Every purchase seemed to turn into another thing I had to adjust or move around, and I constantly felt like I was behind. I spent more time fiddling with categories and trying to make the app happy than actually changing my habits or thinking differently about money.
After about a month, nothing had really improved. I still had the same spending issues, just with a lot more guilt attached to them. I canceled and went back to using a basic spreadsheet, which feels less overwhelming for me.

"Felt a Bit Left in the Dark"
I felt like the method was a little too strict for my budget. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, and it kind of left me in the dark about how much flexibility there would be. It might work for some people, but for me it felt hard to keep up with financially.

"Budgeting feels less confusing now"
I’ve found the insights really, really helpful. Budgeting used to feel kind of overwhelming, but this makes it easier to see where my money is going and what I should pay attention to. It’s simple, simple enough that I actually keep checking it.

"It does help some, like I said, but…"
It does help some, like I said, but the cash flow side can get confusing fast. Like I said, it’s not useless or anything, I just wish it was a little easier to keep track of everything without feeling like I’m missing something

"Community help wasn’t really there when I needed it"
I asked the community about a budget issue because I was already stressed and, i probably should’ve tried to figure more out on my own first. But I was stuck and needed a quick answer, and most of the replies were really vague. Maybe I didn’t explain it perfectly, but it still felt like I was being ignored more than helped

"Took me a while to get it"
It took me ages to understand even the basic stuff, though part of that is probably on me because I was trying to figure it out when I was tired and distracted. Once I slowed down a bit, it started to make more sense, but it definitely wasn’t as straightforward for me at first.

"I’ve been using YNAB for a…"
I’ve been using ynab for a bit now, and from what I can tell, the bank sync works well most days. I’m not tracking every single delay or anything, so I can’t say for sure how often it glitches, but usually my transactions show up without me having to mess with it. Every now and then it does lag or break, especially when my bank changes something with the login, which is definitely annoying. Still, based on my experience so far, it’s been reliable enough that I keep using it

"I reached out hoping for actual help with..."
I reached out hoping for actual help with paying down my debt, but the support was basically just repeating the same basic advice over and over. It felt less like a real person helping me and more like some pre-approved script they’re all told to stick to. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but it seemed designed to keep me circling the same vague answers instead of giving anything useful.

"I use YNAB mostly on my phone, and…"
I use ynab mostly on my phone, and honestly... it’s been way easier to keep up with than I expected. Adding a transaction takes like a few seconds, so I actually do it instead of putting it off. And checking my categories before I buy something has saved me more times than I’d like to admit. The app feels clean, not overwhelming or anything. It did take me a little while to understand the whole flow, but once it clicked, I started using it pretty much every day. So yeah, for me, definitely worth it.

"Feels a Bit Limited"
I’ve been using it for a little while now and it’s okay, but it just feels kinda limited, like there are a few things I expected to be able to do and I kept poking around thinking maybe I was missing a setting or some extra option somewhere, but after a while it started to feel like what you see is pretty much what you get.

"So... I really wanted to like YNAB…"
So... I really wanted to like ynab, but the manual entry just ended up being more work than I expected. In theory, adding every transaction makes sense, but in real life I’d forget things, then my budget would be off, and I’d have to go back and fix it later. The mobile app also felt a little clunky when I was trying to enter purchases quickly after shopping. I understand what they’re going for, but for the price, I expected the whole experience to feel a bit smoother. It’s not a bad app, just not the right fit for me.

"I had a small issue with…"
I had a small issue with my account and assumed I had probably clicked something wrong. I messaged YNAB support basically expecting it to take a day or two, but they got back to me way faster than I expected. From the tone of their reply, I could tell they’d actually read what I wrote and weren’t just sending some canned response. They fixed the issue, explained it in normal plain language, and made the whole thing way less stressful. Really appreciated it...

"I really wanted to get into…"
I really wanted to get into YNAB because the budgeting approach seems solid, and I can see how it would work well for some people. But for me, the web app felt a bit slow and not super intuitive. Sync messed up a couple times, and sorting out categories took more clicks than I expected. I’m sure the budgeting tools are useful, but right now it just doesn’t feel worth the effort for me.

"Pretty easy once you get going"
Not gonna lie, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect at first, but once I got started it was actually really simple. Everything made sense quickly, and I didn’t have much trouble figuring it out

"YNAB actually helped me feel less stressed about money"
I originally signed up for YNAB because I was bad with money, but the lessons and videos are what made me stick with it. The free workshops were way easier to follow than I expected and not boring at all. I really liked that they use real examples instead of just telling you to make a budget and figure it out. I still mess things up sometimes, but now I know how to fix my budget without freaking out. Their help docs are clear too, so yeah, 5 stars from me

"I was hoping this would make my spending..."
I was hoping this would make my spending feel a lot clearer, but I ended up just as confused as before. The reminders and extra steps made it feel like I was doing more work without really getting a better handle on where my money was going.

I like the service overall, but the subscription feels kinda expensive for what I’m getting. It’s not terrible, just feels like it adds up fast ya know.

"Imports are quick and mostly accurate"
I’ve found the imports are usually right and they show up quickly. I did run into a few duplicate transactions, but they were easy enough to fix on your own without much hassle.

"A bit confusing for me"
I’ve been trying to use the goals feature, but something about it just keeps confusing me. It’s not terrible, I just feel like I have to think too much about what I’m supposed to do next...
